Green Shield Academy

The purpose of the academy is to set you up for success. Whether you are a cricketer trying to break into a Green Shield squad or a player already in a Green Shield squad, we know what it takes to play and dominate the Green Shield competition. 

 

The Green Shield Academy is designed to develop you as a player and person who can play at the highest level. 

 

The academy will be run by specialist coaches who know and understand the Green Shield system and the cricket

High-Performance Pathways.

Led by head coach, Neil D'Costa who brings 35 years of playing and coaching experience.

The academy will combine physical and mental skill development. Incorporating the latest technology in video analysis while working with our specialist coaches in:

- Fast Bowling 

- Spin Bowling 

- Batting 

- Fielding

- Strength & Conditioning

 

There will also be considerable time spent on the development of cricket IQ and help you understand how you can best fit into a team environment and develop an attitude coaches/selectors are looking for, giving you the best chance to be selected.

 

One of the biggest assets of the academy is the opportunity to train and compete with other Green Shield players every week in our sessions. Being around other players with the same goal to dominate is a wonderful training tool that lifts the standards of every session.

All enrolled players will be given access and entered into the East Sydney Cricket Centre LUDIMOS player portal.

Structure of the Academy

 

The Green Shield Academy is designed to run parallel to the school term. 

Each academy term will run for 10 weeks starting the first week of the NSW school term.

 

The session will run from

7:00pm - 9:00pm on Mondays.

​

To maintain the high standards and expectations for the academy, admission is only open to selected/ invited players. All players will be between the ages of 13-16 years old. All players will either be in a Green Shield Squad or be looking to join a Green Shield Squad in the next season. Please use the application form below to apply for the Term 4 intake.

Our aim is that every session will be competitive, structured and enjoyable for the player. We know what it takes, and we want to give you the best chance to dominate.
